Siem Reap Angkor Airport (REP) is the second largest airport in the kingdom. There are direct flights to REP from Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, China and the South Korea.
Traveling to city center from the airport cost 7 USD with taxi and 4 USD with Motodop (motor taxi). Cambodians prefer transaction paid in US dollars, Thai Baht or occasionally Vietnamese Dong instead of in Cambodian Riel.
People can also reach Siem Reap by land. There are some direct buses from Phnom Penh operated by companies like Phnom Penh Sorya Transport, Capitol Tours, Mekong Express and GST Express.
You can also join Siem Reap from Thailand. Border towns of Aranyaprathet and Poipet are roughly 2 hours away from Siem Reap. Avoid Khao San Road. Many tourists have shared their bad experienced for being ripped off and having to aboard a bus with no fix arrival schedule and ended up in Siem Reap much longer than expected.
